A series of three leadership training courses intended to encourage leaders to grow in knowledge, to learn best practices and to gain biblical strategies to help maintain a healthy, vibrant ministry
Our theme is discipleship and mentoring within the context of leadership development. It comes from the scripture where Paul is encouraging his “spiritual son” to seek out those who would be future leaders.
Our goal this year is to not only train current leaders but to empower them to disciple others as future leaders. As Bill Hybels says in Courageous Leadership: A leadership development plan has to address these three phases: Identifying emerging leaders, Investing in the development of emerging leaders, [and] Entrusting responsibility to emerging leaders.
1) Empowering Leadership--for yourself and those on your team
2) Passing the baton to future leaders
3) Promoting unity and harmony in ministry.

"Taste of Training gave our ministry board lots of good ideas for how to improve as leaders. Great information and group discussion, problem solving and encouragement. Totally worth our time."
“The [leadership] training at the Gather conference last year was so great! It really helped me as president [of my local ministry] get prepared for the year and how to run this season of life and finish it well. I took home a lot of helpful insights that were given to me by the facilitator that I personally used during the year!”
