It's been wonderful...
“The end of a thing is better than its beginning.” Ecclesiastes 7:8
The journey to Gather began and continued with walking in unity and obedience to the call of God. Today, we find ourselves still in that sacred space of obedience and unity. The time for Gather has now come to completion with this year, Gather 2019, Fan the Flame. As we look back at what the Lord has done through Gather our hearts are grateful; rejoicing in all He has done. We look forward with joy and confidence knowing that He will continue the good work He began in all of us. When we began the Gather conference, we had no idea if it would be for one year or for many years. Every year of preparation has been a journey of faith. As we sought the Lord’s will this year for Gather, He began to make it very clear to all of us that we had finished our course and the vision for Gather was completed this year.
The Gather vision was originally written on the 4 sides of a cardboard box and what the Lord has next for ALL of us cannot be contained in that box. We have purposed to hold that vision with open hands, and now our heart’s desire is to faithfully end it in obedience. Endings can be hard but, as we see in Ecclesiastes, ending can also be good when we trust the One who is writing the story. The story of Gather will continue in the hearts of all who have poured their time, gifts, prayers, and hearts into this time of gathering. Thank you for joining us. We are grateful.
In unity of heart,
Margaret, Jennifer, and Beth \o/
